Banner advertising is very effective but only if you approach it in the right way.
If you approach your banner advertising campainge with the notion of posting one banner, on one site, for only 1000 rotations, and
expecting clicks you will be sadly mistaken.
Think of banner advertising as one part of your marketing arsenal, and think of it in terms of multiple banner rotations on multiple sites.
Also, look at banner advertising at a way to create branding of your product or service. If you post your banner in enough places at the same time, potential customers will eventually click your banner after seeing it on serveral sites over a short period of time.
